[ Cavalier as the texts may be, there's still a slight hint of dubiousness in Homelander's expression when Pierce arrives by the edge of the woods. Asking for a beating is hardly typical behavior, and even if it's a kink thing, the total lack of guard rails makes it a little ... extreme.

( no, it isn't typical behavior but it is relatively normal for pierce — at least it would have been a couple of years ago. he thought that he had outgrown the need for senseless violence, but the manor has managed to rear up some old bad habits.

the line of questioning doesn't come as a surprise though. after all, he really hadn't bothered to explain why he made the request. )
